Bargetto Winery's Santa Cruz Mountains LA VITA wine is
released each year with a brand new label, one that showcases “wine
in art.” For thousands of years wine has been an integral part of
life in western civilization: economically, religiously, and
perhaps most importantly, aesthetically. Part of the wonderful
legacy of wine is that down through the ages, wine had been proudly
portrayed in art, from the Egyptians to present day. Each year, the
LA VITA SERIES showcases one masterpiece in which wine has been
portrayed. The 2002 LA VITA label features Vendangeuse “The Grape
Picker” (oil on canvas) by William Bouguereau (1825-1905).
Bargetto Winery's 2002 LA VITA displays deep ruby color. The
expansive bouquet shows an intriguing blend of plums, spice and
cedar. The five years of aging delivers a wine with a velvety
palate, rich flavors and a delicate oak finish.
