Bargetto Winery 2003 LA VITA

Bargetto Winery's LA VITA wine is released each year with a brand new label, one that showcases "wine in art."  For thousands of years, wine has been an integral part of life in western civilization: economically, religiously, and perhaps most importantly aesthetically. Part of the wonderful legacy of wine is that down through the ages, wine has been proudly portrayed in art from the Eqyptians to the present day. The 2003 LA VITA honors the two founding brothers of the winery, Philip and John Bargetto. As wine has been so much a part of the Bargetto family life, we dedicate the 2003 LA VITA to our co-founders and their families who committed themselves to wine, family and the community. This seventh release, Bargetto Winery's 2003 LA VITA is produced from a unique blend of 50% Dolcetto, 27% Nebbiolo and 23% Refosco. This hand-crafted wine was aged for two and a half years in oak barrels, then aged for an additional two years in the bottle prior to release. The 2003 LA VITA is a powerful wine that will be best enjoyed with food. The aromas of cedar, molasses, dried cherries with a hint of juniper are supported with firm tannins.
