Pinot Noir - 2010

Our Monterey Pinot Noir grapes are from the Griva vineyard in the Arroyo Seco appellation.

Our 2010 Monterey Pinot Noir shows a deep, ruby red color with beautiful clarity. In the nose we find aromas of ripe, black cherries and boysenberries accented with subtle spicy notes. On the palate, the full-bodied flavors of bright ripe fruits fill the mouth and linger on a long, supple finish. This wine is an excellent match with a wide variety of dishes.

At Bernardus, all our Pinot Noir grapes are hand picked, hand sorted and fermented in small batches using specially selected yeasts and two different vinification techniques in order to maximize fruit expression and complexity.

October 2nd through October 6th, 2010.

Cooperage:
Sirugue, Billon, Cadus and Damy…all from Burgundy, France; 35% new.

Bottled:
August, 2011.

Case Production:
2073 cases of 750 ml bottles.
