Our Syrah is produced entirely from our Bugay Estate Vineyards
located in the Mayacamas Mountains of Sonoma County. The
combination of volcanic soils, mountainous terrain, southern
exposure and low yields produce a highly concentrated wine with
intense varietal character. Small lots are fermented separately and
aged in only the best Louis Latour and François Fréres Barrels.
Seductive aromas of blackberry, plum, and black cherry are framed
against a foundation of rich chocolate, coffee bean, anise, toasty
oak, and wild game. The palate is round, silky, and extravagant. A
lush core of plum, dark chocolate, berry compote, and balanced fine
tannins accompany an almost endless finish.
