Barbera, an Italian grape variety, is the third most planted red grape variety in Italy (after Sangiovese and Montepulciano). It produces good yields and is known for deep color, low tannins and high levels of acid. Barbera is considered to be one of the best varietals for the warm climate of the San Joaquin Valley.
Our 2012 Barbera has vibrant aromas of ripe dark fruit, cherry and vanilla. The mouthfeel is extremely lush and the finish is silky smooth. This is a great wine for the serious connoisseur!
