Slightly fewer than 1,000 cases of this 1983 Vintage Port were produced and only about 700 cases were released in November of 1991. Each of the four Portuguese grape varietals selected contribute a spectrum of flavors that complement each other and build a unique structure. Souzao (42%) is aromatic, full in flavor and rich with deep, resplendent color. Tinta Madeira (35%) has a rich chocolate flavor with hints of raspberry and spice. Touriga (19%) is noted for its concentrated fruit flavor and distinctive aroma. The Tinta Cao (4%) provides a soft and subtle flavor with delicate overtones.
