While the original Pierre's Ghost was a blend of Zinfandel and Syrah, this new 2018 offering reintroduces the label, is a premium blend of pinot noir from the Miller Hill Vineyard and the lesser known Herr Vineyard. The Herr Vineyard is located off of Highland Way with a magnificent view of the Santa Cruz Mountains and the Monterey Bay beyond. The resulting wine shows an array of tart red berry fruits that finishes with a black cherry note. The Santa Cruz Mountains signature minerality rounds off the finish and supports the structure which is soft and supple making it an easy to drink daily wine.
