88 Points (Wine Spectator).
I farm the Giana vineyard like a cabernet, for high quality and moderate yield, but even after leaving 50% of the fruit on the ground in '05, these vines continued to produce wildly large clusters, and large, juicy fruit. As a result, the 2005 Giana Zinfandel boasts an incredible range, from notes of plums, black cherries, raspberries, to cocoa and licorice. Giana Zin slides nicely into summer, pairing easily with barbeque, ribs grilled meats or spicy dishes!
