<H1>2006 Estate Chardonnay-Santa Rita Hills -- Melville Vineyards & Winery Shopping Cart</H1> $30.00 Released:09.21.07 Alcohol: 15.3% This wine is 100% from our Santa Rita Hills estate and is a combination of clones 4, 76, and 95. The fruit was harvested by hand then gently whole-cluster pressed, cold settled overnight and transferred by gravity to barrel for fermentation in 6% new French (Damy) oak, partial malolactic (±10%) and subsequent sur lie aging without any lees disturbance. Tasting Notes: With an electric green-gold hue this wine has an elusive aromatic array of saline, lime, lemon drop, margarita, green apple skin, white currant and white apricot. Even more alluring are the other aspects of chalk, saltwater taffy, angel food cake, gingerbread, seashell, Italian parsley and orange-flower blossom. In the mouth, the wine is ample and fleshy yet remains chiseled, delineated and crisp.
