
This Zinfandel is a very elegant wine. It has delightful spiciness as well as lush fruit. The wine has black pepper, sweet oak and clove notes which are complimented by the juicy cherry, blueberry and plum tones. It has a really nice creme bru-lee character whch developes in the velvety finish. Open this wine about an hour before you intend to serve it to allow the aromas to fully develop. The 2006 Napa Valley Marianna is our winery's seventh release of this Bordeaux style red wine. It is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot.

This is a full-bodied Cabernet with layers of complex dark fruit. Ripe and smooth in texture with concentrated flavors of plum, cedar, and anise. Well-focused tannins balance perfectly with the rich fruit. It would pair quite well with a roast lamb, barbecued rib eyes, or grilled garlic pork with fresh herbs. 10,000 cases produced.
