Inspired by Saybrook's James Bugental, the Existential-Humanistic Institute (EHI) - a program of Pacific Institute - has been offering training to Bay Are students for 10 years. Located in San Francisco, the Institute utilizes some of the foremost existential therapy instructors in the country. These seasoned instructors have trained extensively with such masters as Roolo May, James Bugental, and Irvin Yalom.
Objectives of the EHI Annual Conference 2007:
1. To learn the basic assumptions underlying Existential-Humanistic (EH) psychotherapy;
2. To connect EH assumptions to therapeutic interventions shown through "live" work with active cases, demonstrations, video, and the use of literature and metaphor;
3. To learn how to effectively work in the her and now, with yourself, your cient, in the relation between and/or with your working environments and the world;
4. To learn the art of using the EH principles as the guiding focus of your way of coming into relationships with yourself and the world in your various disciplines, work, and relationships.
The topics of the conference will introduce and deepen our understanding of the theory and practice of Existential Psychotherapy in the United States.
