<P><B>Tasting Panel Synopsis:<ul><li>
</b>This wine is even closer to the classic Rhine model than the '05 vintage we carried. It too offers a nosefull of classic Riesling aromas - floral, stone fruits, lychee, and hints of bitter almond. But the acidity was so high in 2007 that there is just a trace of fruity goodness to keep it in balance, and to offset the natural bitter almond that is a Riesling hallmark (and part of its allure!) This bottling is ready for immediate enjoyment, though it will evolve nicely over the next several years into a more complex and serious wine.
<b><li>Suggested Pairings:</b> Served well chilled, this wine makes a great summer refresher, an ideal picnic wine, and almost a required accompaniment to daytime concerts. Once you try this wine with cold chicken, good deli sandwiches, anything salty, or even a simple snack of fruit and cheese... well, if you try any of these and can resist coming back for more, you're more evolved than I.</ul>
<P>The current generation of Tudors descends from 600 years of grape-growing and winemaking tradition, both in CA as well as their native Croatia. Fortunately for us, the Tudors take their wine-making heritage seriously. Perhaps even more fortunately, they are also serious about having fun. For example, the dog on the label is their own Brigadoon Bull Terrier - this "Radical Dog" may not yet have acquired a taste for the Tudor wines, she loves grapes fresh from the vineyard!
