This month, we’re turning our focus back to a Wine Appreciation 101-type atmosphere. In next week’s tasting class, we’ll be demonstrating different methods for hosting a “blind” tasting, where the variables of each wine are discussed, then they are poured in seemingly random (or not) order, and discussed again. Usually, this activity culminates in the guessing of one or more of the variables by the tasters: varietal, producer, appellation, vintage, etc. Sometimes, even the most wine-savvy participants, yours truly included, are surprised by their erroneous guesses!<BR><BR>(No tickets are issued -- your reservation will be held at the cellar door.) 7pm Thurs, 6/25 in Lafayette.</P>
