Sangiovese 1996 -- Adelaida Shopping Cart
$35.00
The vineyard from whence this Sangiovese hails is exactly what we look for in order to grow wines that are in keeping with our house style of full-bodied red wine with natural backbone of acidity. The vineyard lies west of us on Chimney Rock Road on an elevation of over 2000 feet, where the vines struggle to maintain a foot-hold on the pure white, chalk rock, calcareous soils. The steepness of this vineyard has necessitated terracing the vines, which produce very small amounts of intensely flavored grapes. This wine has reached its plateau and we recommend drinking soon.
