The Reliable Tipi - The Crow<BR><BR>The Crow style tipi is probably the most pleasing design visually. The size of the smoke flaps are beautifully proportioned to the nearly conical shape of the tipi itself. Reliable learned how to make this tipi from their close neighbors on the Crow Indian Reservation. Entire families would come into their shop to show them how to make an authentic tipi. <BR><BR>The traditional "A" shape door opening is standard on the Crow Tipi. 8'6" diameter, the Backyard Tipi is both fun and functional. Children love it as a playhouse. Great for kids backyard sleepovers. Lightweight, packable, and easy to set up. The Backyard Tipi is perfect for scout or church camps, day care centers and youth activity clubs. Heavy duty 10.10oz. per square yard canvas is used throughout the tipi. It is a durable, water repellent, mildew resistant and flame retardant fabric. The tipi is assembled with double stitching and all areas of stress are reinforced. The door has an adjustable opening for easy entry. The tipi comes complete with 10' break-down poles for ease of packing and storage. Everything you need to set up the Backyard Tipi is included. The Sioux style tipi is very popular because of the extensive historical information available about the tribe. Many books have been written about the Sioux and Sitting Bull is probably the best known of all American Indian Chiefs.
Our Sioux tipi leans to the back more than the Crow style and comes standard with an oval shaped door opening. The smoke flaps are longer than those of the Crow tipi resulting in a shorter lace pin and door section, and somewhat larger smoke hole.
