PEACOAT...a cold weather version of the first uniform authorized...the Pea-jacket was a warm, heavy coat made from "pea" cloth or "pilot" cloth. Also known as a Pilot's coat possibly deriving it's name from the term "pilot" or ships' navigator. Whatever you call it, the Peacoat is renowned for its warmth and style.
In keeping with that tradition, the NAVIGATOR is cut from the same patterns we use in the production of the official U.S. Navy-issue coat and is made to the same exacting standards required by the U.S. Government. For the Navigator we chose a full satin lining to lend a hint of luxury to an already steadfast symbol of American quality and style. The Navigator will provide both warmth and uncompromising good looks for years to come.
