This Needle is likely the most popular and widely used for cinch making. Also called "Rawhide Needle" by saddle makers, and "Navajo Needle" by weavers, even "Sacking Needle" among potato farmers, it is heavy duty and much easier on ones fingers than smaller diameter styles.
The bent & beveled tip of these needles provide a bit of a hold for pulling the cinch ends through, as illustrated in our Cinch Making 101 DVD.
