RS-232 control sequences are also transmitted on the same Cat.5/5e or Cat.6 cables which allow remote control of distant devices. The 1T-CT-458 receiver provides at 300M (1,000') range. The receivers provide for Equalization and Gain adjustment and the 1T-CT-458 receiver also provides Skew correction capability. The system supports the DDC2B/EDID protocol which, when used with a DDC2B/EDID monitor, provides for automatic resolution detection for the remote monitor.
