Output options are for USB and PS/2 keyboard connection.  The USB version plugs directly into the USB port and requires no driver to be loaded; it acts like an extension of your keyboard numeric pad.  The PS/2 version plugs directly into the PC's keyboard port and the keyboard is then plugged into the FlexWedge.  The FlexWedge then acts like an extension of your keyboard numeric pad.
