ABOUT THE BLEND: Joe Benziger has infused his love of high antioxidant blueberries** with his first passion – adventurous winemaking. Code Blue is made up of 85% Syrah and 15% Blueberry. VINIFICATION: Code Blue was crafted using the same winemaking techniques seen in most Imagery red wines, with one key difference - the addition of big, beautiful, bluberries! Mendocino blueberries were harvested and flash frozen to await their Syrah counterpart. The Syrah went into small, open top, two ton tanks and were topped with the frozen blueberries.
