In previous newsletters, we've discussed how the climate at de Coelo puts the vineyard almost on the edge of where Pinot can grow. We've shared how we fight for enough warm days to fully ripen the grapes, and how it is truly a labor of love to farm this far out on the Sonoma Coast. Our belief is that through Biodynamic methods we are able to nurture the best aspects out of the soils, weather, and clonal selections found here. And that the result is a Pinot Noir that is proudly distinctive, representative of site and vintage, something wholly special. Each year we are more and more convinced that de Coelo is capable of growing world class Pinot Noir.   <div aria-setsize="0" aria-posinset="0" aria-level="0">VINTAGE: A dry winter led to a fairly early bud break in 2007. Overall the growing season was evenly paced with a just a few heat spikes in the early summer. Warm August weather started harvest early, especially for early ripening varietals.
