<p>Our fiberglass flagpoles are manufactured to duplicate the classic Greek Entasis taper design. All poles have an ultra-hard, gel coat finish that stands up to the harshest of weather conditions. Our rugged gel coat finish is especially well suited near salt water or in other extreme weather conditions - our poles will not corrode, pit or rust. Since fiberglass is a non-conductor, no grounding is required; thus installation is easy and inexpensive. Our standard flagpoles have either a Brilliant White or Dark Bronze pre-cast finish. Other colors are available upon request; please contact us for a quotation. <strong>Our innovative molding process produces a flagpole shaft with a tensile strength of 50,000 pounds per square inch. </strong>Inside a steel clam shell mold, seven layers of reinforced fiberglass roving, mixed with a polyester resin is aligned in a vertical plane for maximum strength and placed on a thick layer of gel-coat. An inflatable bladder is layered the entire length of the mold. <p>Fiberglass poles are the least expensive way to obtain a traditional white pole. Others use fiberglass cloth which is inherently weaker than weaving. The extreme hard, glossy finish of our poles is a high build, modified polyester surface which provides unequaled beauty and maximum durability. The pole and surface are a totally bonded polyester medium which virtually eliminates any possibility of peeling or separation.</p>

The Vanguard series of flagpoles combine the security of a concealed halyard system with the simplicity of a rope halyard. While lacking the the convience and sophistication of a winch operated system, the Vanguard provides an intelligent, economical alternative to the deluxe concealed halyard systems. The Vanguard's wire center halyard runs through a stationary truck and is secured in a cam-actioncleat located inside the flagpole behind a lockable access door. All fittings for a complete installation are included: gold anodized aluminum ball ornament, swivel flag snaps with vinyl covers, retaining ring, counterweight, a stainless steel quick link to make all necessary connections, spun aluminum flash collar and galvanized steel foundation sleeve. These deluxe internal halyard flagpoles contain a winch mounted inside the flagpole shaft, operable only with a removable crank handle. As the stainless steel cable unwinds from the winch, it passes up through the inside of the flagpole shaft, over the truck sheave to the outside of the shaft, where the retaining ring provides a sliding anchor. A counterweight, heavily coated with neoprene, attached to the retaining ring, allows the halyard to be lowered for fastening or removing the flag. The halyard is then raised completely out of reach of vandals. The improved winch is gearless and self locking at any point, eliminating the need for a seperate brake. This direct drive winch provides rapid raising and lowering of the flag with little effort. This new, improved design does not require any welding, thus avoiding discoloration when an anodized finish is desired. No monthly lubrication is needed.
