Our ‘Costa Magna’ Zinfandel clone is grown in an extremely rocky vineyard site. The vines are grown with a high head trained (vertical cordon) canopy. This method, combined with our ideal microclimate, yields fully ripened fruit without the typical uneven ripening so characteristic of this varietal. The end result is a truly magnificent wine. Bright, delicious layers of pure, complex fruit are displayed from beginning to end. The aromas are heavenly and the long, exotic, spicy finish is incredible. This wine is perfectly balanced and may redefine what you would expect from a fine Zinfandel.
9 months in French Oak Barrels.
Suggested food pairings: This is an elegant Zinfandel that pairs well with foods often associated with a fine Cabernet Sauvignon. Grilled New York Steak is an excellent pairing, as well as other grilled meats, vegetables, and sausage.
