The structure is perhaps even a bit better than the much-admired 2005 Cloudline, and the overall fruit-forwardness makes for a wine that is thoroughly enjoyable now and for the next several years to come. 2006 is a vintage that Oregon vintners will savor for a long time. After the smallish 2004 and 2005 harvests, a warm but mild growing season led to an easy harvest of exceptional quality and generous yields. In the cellar, the Pinot Noir moved gently through fermentation, always showing off the soft, pretty nature of the vintage.
