A great Zinfandel is a food-lover's best friend; it easily goes spicy ribs to tangy cheese to dark chocolate. This is the biggest Giana made to date off of the vines that surround our house. Try it with my Baby Back Ribs with Espresso BBQ Sauce recipe, a year-round favorite.
It is a medium purple color, with pitched aromas of honeysuckle, raspberries, cola and mint. It has a sweet and very broad palate that has a real bubblegum entry before fanning out into clove, cinnamon, bittersweet chocolate and briary Zinberry fruit. The 16+ percent alcohol is well balanced by bright acidity.
