Making a Rosé wine in red wine country took some convincing, but I realized we could make an especially interesting one. Our Chiara Rosé comes from Old Vine Zinfandel grapes. As we bleed off juice to concentrate our red wine, the by-product is terrific juice tinged with beautiful rose color, just ready for barrel-fermentation. And voila, a full-bodied Rosé of Zinfandel, rich with tropical fruits and berries. Pairs wonderfully with a wide array of foods. Perfect in early fall and with Holiday meats!
