Our absolute best Cabernet to date! 2006 saw small crop size and a warm, long and even growing season. This vineyard is named for my wife, Eileen, and is a lovely rocky patch of soil along the west side. 2006 Eileen Cabernet is loaded with complexity and a nice range of cherry, currant, and berry with a light pleasant toasty oak finish. Hints of earth and spice and dark fruit, finishing with supple tannins. 460 cases made.
