This Cabernet Sauvignon is a dark and opulent expression
of the Oakville appellation. Its name is derived from the
terraced vineyards from which it came. This is a pure
expression of the red slopes in the eastern hills. The color
is darker, verging more toward the purple/red than its sister
wine. Deeper, darker aromas predominate as well, with
blackberry, chocolate and black currant filling the glass.
The palate has a more assertive grip with black cherry on the
entry leading to a more angular finish of blueberry and
graphite. This is the Cabernet for the lover of the classic
Oakville expression.
