-- The American Guernsey Association is inviting the public to enjoy this one-of-a-kind dinner crafted by Chef Bob Richards and Claudine Martyn, from the Dallas Slow Food chapter, in honor of the association's first annual meeting in Texas in 50 years.
The public is invited to this unique dinner highlighting the richness and variety of North Texas foods. It will be held at the Renaissance Dallas Renaissance Hotel at 6 p.m., Saturday July 11.
You're invited to join the members of the American Guernsey Association for a dinner featuring:
- Tomato Napoleon Salad with Caramelized Onions, Baby Greens and Chives with Balsamic Viniagrette
- Burgundy Pasture Beef Short Ribs with Thai BBQ Sauce served over Mashed Potatoes and pasture-raised chicken from Windy Meadows Farm and vegetables from the McKinney Farmers Market
- Texas Cheese Plate with cheeses from Lucky Layla Farms, Dallas Mozzarella Co., Veldhuizen Farms and Pure Luck Farm and Dairy
- Collin County Blackberry Cobbler
The dinner is part of the 133rd annual meeting of the American Guernsey Association, which is holding its convention in Texas for the first time in 50 years. Local host and Texas Guernsey Breeder member Todd Moore of Lucky Layla Farms conceived the dinner to showcase Texas producers to Guernsey breeders from around the world.
