The idea was to showcase, in a blend, how the dominant variety, Syrah, could be enhanced by the addition of small amounts of Grenache and Mourv&#232;dre. We began with a stellar selection of fruit-driven Syrahs made even richer with the addition of sturdy, smoky Mourv&#232;dre and bright, succulent Grenache. <br> The wine starts out with bold aromatics of jammy berry fruit, vanilla-scented oak, and saddle leather. Brambly and earthy flavors follow an explosive burst of ripe currants.
