The Trident Flight includes one wine from each Foggy Bridge tier: Classic, Tradewinds and G.E.O. (Green.Earth.Origin.). This sampler gift pack contains one bottle of G.E.O. 2007 San Francisco Bay Chardonnay, Classic 2007 Sonoma County Zinfandel and Tradewinds 2005 Bordeaux-style blend from Yorkville Highlands. Each wine is wrapped in an elegant black box and tied with ribbon. Also includes a personalized gift note. <br /><br /><u>Wine Descriptions</u><br /><font class="font2">This Chardonnay is Foggy Bridge Winery’s first wine
under the G.E.O. (Green. Earth. Origin.) label. The grapes hail from
our estate Foggy Bridge vineyard in the San Francisco Bay appellation
and were grown with 100% organic practices, allowing the true essence
of the region and vineyard to shine. Cool evenings, influenced by
the San Francisco fog, provide the right climate for crisp natural
acidity and structure in this wine. A combination of new
and neutral French, American and Hungarian Oak barrels contributed soft
vanillin notes to the aroma and creaminess to the palate. Malolactic
fermentation occurred in 50% of the wine, adding complexity and a touch
of buttered popcorn to the nose and palate. Only 190 cases produced. </font><br /><br />Bursting with aromas of cherry and licorice, the Sonoma County Zinfandel has a bright ruby color. On the palate, its blackcurrant and red fruit flavors are balanced with 10 months of French and American oak aging. The round, soft tannins make this a versatile wine that is ready to enjoy now or can be cellared for a few years.<br /><br />The Bordeaux-style blend of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot hails from the Yorkville Highlands region of Mendocino County. With aromas and flavors of plum, blackberry and light cedar, this is a complex, age-worthy wine with chalky, slightly chewy tannins that complement this blend well. <br /><br /><br /></P>
