Winemaker's Notes:
2006 was a very good year for our dry-farmed estate vineyard. By this I mean we had normal rainfall to carry and ripen a healthy crop(2.5 tons/acre or 3.5 lbs/vine). This is Tinaquaic Franc-full of chipotle(smoked jalapeno) and blueberry aromas, with a mouthful of red currant, cherry and cigar box notes. History has proven the Tinaquaic Cabernet Franc can easily age 10 years in the bottle-but if you are a "now drinker", decant and enjoy! I like my "Franc" with chorizo and cranberry-stuffed pork loin and roasted root vegetables(potatoes/carrots/fennel).-Bill Wathen
