This block sits at the eastern edge of the Bien Nacido property on the Santa Maria Bench, adjacent to the western boundary of Cambria Vineyard. The vines were planted in the early 1970’s. This is a great food wine—and not a “drink alone oaky monster.” It was barrel fermented in François Frères barrels (25% new) and aged 8 months sur-lies it’s entire eight months in barrel. This wine is full of rich tropical aromas and flavors—guava, tangy pineapple and custard apple, with citrus peel, great minerality and natural acidity.
