Cernitin™ is a highly concentrated, 20:1 combination of water soluble to fat soluble flower pollen extracts from the Graminaceae family. <h5 ALIGN="LEFT">Uses For Control C/P™</h5> Urinary And Bladder Support For Men And Women: Pumpkin seed extract ( Cucurbita pepo L.) is traditionally recognized for its fatty oil constituents. New research has focused on a lipid-free extract standardized to contain lignan glycosides, or phenolic compounds. Lignan compounds modulate enzymatic activity in both men and women to promote healthy urinary and bladder function. In vitro results indicate that lignans target the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, maintaining healthy levels of dihydrotestosterone for prostate and male urinary health. In vitro studies show that pumpkin seed extract also modulates aromatase. This enzyme converts testosterone to estradiol in women. A decrease in this conversion helps maintain healthy testosterone levels in women for strengthening pelvic muscles and bladder function. In an open clinical trial, 39 postmenopausal women used a formula containing primarily lipid-free pumpkin seed extract for six weeks. The results suggest that lipid-free pumpkin seed extract helps to maintain healthy daytime and nighttime urination. Well-researched for promoting healthy urinary function in men, Cernitin flower pollen extract maintains healthy leukotriene and prostaglandin production in vitro and may play a role in supporting urethra smooth muscle function.
