These herbal extracts have the potential to support the immune system.* <h5 ALIGN="LEFT">Uses For EchinaGold™</h5> Promotes Immune System Function: Echinacea enhances the activity of various immune system cells and stimulates the production of molecules that also act to support healthy immune cell responses. More specifically, the alkylamides, caffeic acid derivatives and polysaccharides work together to promote the healthy production and activity of lymphocytes and macrophages. Echinacea also promotes the healthy production of interferon. Goldenseal stimulates macrophage activity and moderates the growth of unfriendly bacteria.* <h5 ALIGN="LEFT">What Is The Source?</h5> EchinaGold™ contains Echinacea angustifolia extract (root) standardized to contain 4% echinacosides, Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis) extract (root) standardized to contain 8.0% berberine and hydrastine, and Vitamin C (ascorbyl palmitate) derived from corn dextrose fermentation and palm oil. <h5 ALIGN="LEFT">Recommendations</h5> Pure Encapsulations recommends 2-6 capsules per day, in divided doses, between meals. <h5 ALIGN="LEFT">Are There Any Potential Side Effects Or Precautions?</h5> Not recommended for pregnant or lactating women due to the goldenseal in this formula. According to the German Commission E monograph for echinacea, people shouldn’t take echinacea if they have an autoimmuneillness. Those who are allergic to flowers of the daisy family should not take echinacea. <h5 ALIGN="LEFT">Are There Any Potential Drug Interactions?</h5> Berberine-containing herbs, such as barberry (Berberis vulgaris) should not be taken simultaneously with tetracycline antibiotics as it may compromise their absorption.
