We are proud to announce the very limited release of our 2007 Pinot Noir. This wine combines two separate vineyard sources from the cool climates of Monterey County - an area that has earned the distinction of one of the states best districts for premium Pinot Noir production.
WINEMAKERS NOTES
Produced from 100% Pinot Noir grown in the cool climate of the Santa Lucia Highlands district of northern Monterey County – a growing area that has proven its ability to consistently deliver exceptional Pinot Noir. The 2007 vintage was in barrel for 10 months with a very conservative addition of French Oak staves. This Pinot Noir opens with bright fruit aromas of red raspberry and ripe strawberry with hints of anise, mint, and brown sugar. On the palate, the fresh berry flavors continue through, joined by background notes of vanilla (creme brulee) and rosemary. The overall style of this wine should pair well with tortellini in alfredo sauce with wild mushrooms.
