Please specify your preferred delivery date upon checkout. <BR><BR>We are thrilled to offer fresh pearl guinea fowl, also known as pintade, faraona, African pheasant or guinea hen, a bird native to West Africa. These fowl are raised on Carey Farms in Lindsborg, Kansas part of the Good Shepherd Ranch farming group. <BR><BR>The pearl guinea fowl have a gamey but delicate texture, are inherently juicy and offer consistently rich and deep flavor, similar to that of a pheasant. Although they appear to be quite large, the birds are typically small in weight as their bones are small so the carcass produces a relatively large amount of meat.<BR><BR></P>
