This honey is from a bee farm in southern New Jersey. Chris used their wildflower honey for his cyser that won the AHA National Silver Medal in 2005.
This bee farm uses their bees to polinate various crops throughout the eastern USA, and collects the honey that results... so the honey is not flavored but is from the actual flowers.
Buckwheat - a strong, dark honey great for traditional meads, braggots, and honey porters
Tupelo - light in color, the flavor has a slightly spicy aftertaste. Good as traditional mead, metheglins, or in holiday beers
Blueberry - very floral in character, excellent match for elderberries, black raspberries or blackberries
Raspberry - sweet and light, good with raspberries, blackberries, or cherries
Cranberry - medium dark and tart, works well with cranberries, apples and white grapes
Normally, we don't carry the 5-lb jars, but Chris bought WAY too many for the booth we had at a medieval merchants bazaar last week. Now he expects Robin to be able to sell the remainder at GREATLY reduced prices. So, if you are a meadmaker, or just like flavoring your beer with honey, have we got a deal for you. Stock is limited, so order early. When it's gone, it'll be another year before we have more in stock.
