Half off when purchased by the case! In 2004 a normal spring weather pattern and an unusually hot summer resulted in a superior Merlot vintage. These Merlot grapes were grown in our Los Alamos Vineyard. Cool nights and mild, sunny days combined to provide a long growing season, giving the grapes plenty of time to ripen slowly and develop maximum varietal character. After traditional small batch fermentation and punchdowns it was aged 21 months in barrel. This wine is smooth and supple with soft ripe tannins. It is a rich, darkly pigmented, complex Merlot with black cherry, tea, earth, leather and spice nuances.
