From the library. This fine Petite Sirah is grown at our thirty year old Los Alamos Vineyard. Here the climate is cool and the harvest invariably late. Petite Sirah has been grown in California for well over a century, usually as a blender with Zinfandel. Vinified on its own it yields a nearly black wine with lots of chewy, spicy black stone fruit aromas and flavors, perfect with hearty fare. The wine has been aged in French and American oak barrels for nearly twenty two months and will age in the bottle as well for another five to seven years.
