This wine is 100% from our Santa Rita Hills estate and is a combination of clones 4, 76, 95, Mount Eden and Wente. Yields were 2.1 lbs/plant (1.9 tons/acre) and were harvested by hand then gently whole-cluster pressed, cold settled overnight and transferred by gravity to barrel for fermentation in neutral (5 to 12 year old French oak), partial malolactic (±15%) and subsequent sur lie aging without any lees disturbance.
Tasting Notes: Visually more golden than its sibling above, this wine is loaded with exotic fruit nuances of honeydew, kumquat, star fruit and tangelo. Other citrus and earthy aromas drift towards lemon tart, orange skin and lemon verbena. Wisps of cinnamon, floral honey, graham cracker and hay also subtly shine. The mouthfeel has grip and volume with hints of dried stone fruits, minerals and brine. It finishes with delineation and focus energizing the palate.
