The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon immediately impresses with rich dark purple hues. The aromas offer wonderful complexity and there is no mistaking that this is a Cabernet of strong pedigree. The well integrated aromas make it difficult to pick out specific scents, but hints of dark cherry, cedar, mint and green olive peek out. This well structured wine fairly glides across the palate with richness, good weight, and tannins that are reserved but enough that will reward with 8-10 years of aging. The flavors mimic the aromas with additional nuances of spice and chocolate.
