<B>Flavor Profile</B><Br>
Our 2007 Semillon exhibits aromas of melon, fig and pineapple with hints of vanilla and graham from oak aging. Mouth-filling flavors of melon and citrus are complemented by vanilla and graham, creating a bold, yet well balanced wine with medium acidity and a smooth finish.<br>

<B>Varietals</B><br>
95% Semillon, 5% Sauvignon Blanc<br>
<br>
<B>Aging</B><br>
The Sauvignon Blanc was aged in French, Hungarian, and
neutral oak for 8 months. The Semillon was aged in French and neutral oak for 6 months. <br>
<br>
<B>Vineyards</B><br>
Our 92-acre estate vineyard was first planted in 1884 with
Semillon cuttings that French grape grower Louis Mel brought
to Livermore from Chateau d’ Yquem in Bordeaux. The
vineyards are planted in a combination of Livermore gravel
(rocky soil with excellent drainage) in the flatlands, and a
slightly richer gravel soil on the sloping hillside. All of the vineyards are sustainably farmed and hand-harvested in the early morning hours. The Semillon was harvested from the
Ghielmetti block. The Sauvignon Blanc was harvested from the
Ruby Hill block.<br>
