<H1>2007 Sauvignon Blanc ~ Wine Club Exclusive -- Murrieta's Well Shopping Cart</H1> $34.00 -- 2007 Sauvignon Blanc ~ Wine Club Exclusive 2007 Sauvignon Blanc Livermore Valley Wine Style During aging, batonnage, the stirring of the barrels, was performed monthly. This process adds creaminess and a rich, full mouthfeel to the wine. This style of winemaking shows off the full flavors of the Estate Grown Sauvignon Blanc grapes with additional subtleties from barrel aging. Flavor Profile This wine has lovely melon, pear and gooseberry aromas with a hint of marshmallow. With crisp flavors of lemon-lime and grapefruit, contrasted by creamy marshmallow, this wine has a full mouthfeel and a long lasting finish. Varietals 100% Sauvignon Blanc Aging This Sauvignon Blanc was barrel fermented and aged sur lie in neutral American oak. Vineyards Our 92-acre estate vineyard was first planted in 1884 with Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon cuttings that French grape grower Louis Mel brought to Livermore from Chateau d’ Yquem in Bordeaux. The vineyards are planted in a combination of Livermore gravel (rocky soil with excellent drainage) in the flatlands, and a slightly richer gravel soil on the sloping hillside. All of the vineyards are sustainably farmed and hand-harvested in the early morning hours.
