<B>Wine Style</B><br>
The Merlot was fermented in open-top fermenters, pumped over twice daily and gently pressed, leaving any possible bitter tannins behind.<br>
<br>
<B>Flavor Profile</B><br>
This wine has lovely aromas and flavors of blueberry, cherry and mocha. It has medium tannins, and a subtle toastiness that compliments its fruit forward style.<br>
<br>
<B>Varietals</B><br>
86% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Counoise, 4% Petit Verdot
<br>
<B>Aging</B><br>
The Merlot was aged for 19 months in French, American, and
Eastern European oak. The Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for
18 months in French, American, and Eastern European oak.
The Counoise was aged in neutral oak for 11 months. The Petit Verdot was aged in French and American oak for 12 months.

<B>Vineyards</B><br>
Nine acres of Merlot are planted in the 92-acre estate that comprises Murrieta’s Well. The climate of the Livermore Valley is similar to the climate of Bordeaux, and the Murrieta’s Well estate benefits from its own unique microclimate within this area. The Murrieta’s Well vineyards are sustainably farmed and hand-harvested.<br>
