The rugged terrain, graveled red soils and full wind exposure are particularly well-suited for the Mediterranean grape varietals featured in Rocky Top. Combined with dry-farming techniques, the vines produce moderate crops of full and balanced flavors. Consisting of 51% Grenache, 44% Syrah, and 5% Petite Sirah, Rocky Top is a medium bodied red blend, with a raspberry and strawberry focus and subtle tannins that make for a great summertime and holiday wine. Make sure to serve it cooler than typical reds. Drink now through 2011.
