VINEYARDS & WINEMAKING
Parducci Port is among the few in California made exclusively from traditional Portuguese varieties, all grown in our estate Home Ranch vineyard in the Ukiah Valley. The grapes were harvested at optimal ripeness, and after fermentation reduced the grape sugars to 14 Brix, a Mendocino spirit from the renowned Germain-Robin distillery was added to arrest the fermentation. The wine was then racked to seasoned French and American oak barrels where it aged between 18 and 30 months before being bottled. Only 400 cases of this Bin 045 bottling were produced.
TASTING NOTES
Our Bin 045 Port offers complex, alluring aromas of stewed black fruits, raisins, licorice, camphor, spice, coffee and toffee. On the palate, the wine’s amazingly lush, sweet, black fruit, raisin, coffee and caramel flavors are well married with its spirit and seamlessly balanced by smooth tannins, culminating in a extremely long, flavorful finish. Enjoy this fine port with family and friends around the fireplace, accompanied by fresh pears, Cambozola cheese and roasted walnuts, or give it as a gift and make someone very happy.
