Widely planted throughout northern Italy, especially Fruili, Trentino and Alto Adige, the finest Pinot Grigio wines come from low vigor sites. Our Pinot Grigio is a combination of three low yielding vineyards. The grapes are hand-harvested, chilled, and then gently whole-cluster pressed to retain the bright fruit character and fresh, floral aromas. The juice is fermented in a combination of new and seasoned French oak puncheons (500 liters in size), and temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Four to five months after harvest, while its youthful characteristics are at their peak, the wine is bottled. Well balanced, with the intriquing scents of citrus zest, figs, and pears, our Pinot Grigio is compatible with many kinds of antipasti (appetizers) and primi piatti (first courses).
