Infused with rich oak and heady spices, the aromatics are a beautiful mixture of red fruits, balsam and cedar, chocolate, and hints of creamy vanilla. The palate is an explosion of concentrated core fruit with a delicious, chewy texture and rich, round mouthfeel. Fleshy and ripe, intense flavors of blackberry, cassis, caramel, anise and nutmeg segue into a smooth finish of firmly packed tannins and excellent length. This wine will reward patient cellaring but is also extremely enjoyable in its youth.
