In 2005 we harvested a mere 2.4 tons from the Sonoma Coast vineyard owned by Cam Thieriot. That’s less than half of what had previously been the smallest crop in the vineyard’s history, in 1995. But those tiny, concentrated berries packed a wallop: the finished wine is absolutely loaded with exotic aromas and flavors, and it seems to have a level of intensity we’ve never seen before. The acid is high, which will keep the wine crisp and enjoyable for years, and the texture is rich and creamy. This is a wine certain to reward additional bottle aging. We bottled 208 cases.
